PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Alexander Building Construction Co. is requesting proposals for the UP-FY 18-23 Capital Systems Renewal Program - Electrical Construction 2C, for The Pennsylvania State University. The scope of work consists of switchgear and electrical upgrades at Rec Hall at PSU's University Park Campus. The existing main electrical service and distribution equipment will need to be replaced. There will be supporting mechanical and plumbing equipment that will either need to be reconfigured or relocated. Contractors will need to provide new switchboard for normal distribution, emergency power service, automatic transfer switch, life safety power panels, and new lighting in the main electrical room. The estimated Construction start is May of 2025, and Construction will end in August 2025.
PREQUALIFICATION
All Trade Contractors interested in the upcoming Capital System Renewal Program Projects will need to be PSU prequalified before the bidding due date. To obtain prequalification documents, contact Tina Petrie, tina.petrie@butz.com, at Alexander Building Construction Co, referencing the PSU Capital Systems Renewal Program. Prequalification documents shall be submitted directly to Tina Petrie.
The prequalification period for Electrical 2C is over. Any proposals from bidders who are not prequalified at the time of bid will not be accepted. More information on the prequalification requirements can be found in the project manual under notice to bidders.
If any Trade Contractor is already PSU Prequalified, please still contact Tina and let her know your status so she can update your information as needed.
BIDDING
The project will be bid through Pipeline Suite.
As a project delegated to Penn State by the Pennsylvania Department of General Services (DGS), this bid opening is public via Zoom Webinar. Registration is required. To access the registration site, go to https://psu.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_IsaCJkMXStGiyxBZK4BREQ. Zoom will send a confirmation email that contains the URL to access the webinar. Organizers will Admit registrants to the bid opening at 3:00 p.m.
